NATIONAL INCENTIVES (CONTO ENERGIA)

Following the “Conto energia” decree, introduced on 19/02/2007, all the energy produced from the photovoltaic system is counted by a proper device and incentivated at a fix amount by the GSE for a period of 20 years, indipendently from the utilization of such produced energy. Furthermore there is an additional benefit thanks to the auto-production, therefore the energy bill is reduced and it’s otherwise possible to sale the surplus energy sent to the grid (energy trade or sale).
Once the 20 years are expired, the incentives will be no longer paid, but the autoproduction or the sale benefit will still be corresponded.
The combination of the benefits and the energy saving/sale, guarantee a ROI (return of investement) in about 7-10 years and therefore a real profit in a 20 years time frame.

The decree determines the following: from each electric energy unit (kWh) produced with a photovoltaic system, an incentive tariff will be accredited according to the system power and the type of installation (from 1 kWp upwardly with no limitation, for 3000 MWp total within 2016 if the system is working after the date 01/10/2005). The decree furthermore incentives the installations of photovoltaic systems simplifying the burocratic paper works and thus the access to the incentive tariff.
